Community Action Network (CAN) Leadership Training Program

Are you someone with lived/living experience of poverty or homelessness in New West?

The BC Poverty Reduction Coalition and the City of New Westminster are offering free training in order to empower those most disadvantaged or excluded to increase their civic engagement. Training workshops will take place at New Westminster City Hall beginning in April to May 2022 and include meals, transit and childcare support.

No experience is necessary, but an ability to commit to the entire program is important.  Applications are open to all those who have lived/ living experience in poverty.
