Building an inclusive food system in New Westminster

The City of New Westminster and the New Westminster Homelessness Coalition Society are planning a city-wide event to discuss food issues; everything from growing, accessing, and cooking food, to supporting our local food economy, to food waste. We are looking for eight community members to help plan the event. The total time involved would be approximately eight hours and you will be paid $20/hour.

We are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse working group that is free of discrimination. Recognizing that racism affects how people are able to access food, we are interested in hearing from people who are racialized. We welcome diversity in all forms, including race, gender, sexuality, body size, culture, age, religious or spiritual beliefs, different abilities, and lived experiences.
