təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre Construction Update

Please be advised of the changes to the Centennial Community Centre parking lot and the temporary relocation of the Crosstown Greenway access route.

To accommodate the removal of Canada Games Pool, the Centennial Community Centre parking lot has been reconfigured. As of Aug. 24, 2022, access and egress is limited to the south driveway as noted on the map below. Parking is limited to three hours and will be strictly enforced.

Work is also underway along East Sixth Avenue between Cumberland Street and McBride Boulevard to relocate a portion of the Crosstown Greenway. Access to the Greenway section behind Canada Games Pool is no longer be accessible as of Aug. 24, 2022. The new temporary Greenway will now continue along East Sixth Avenue and connect with the existing Greenway near Shiles Street. The temporary Greenway will remain in place until the new facility opens in late 2023.
