Connaught Heights Pollinator Garden

In partnership with BC Hydro, nine community volunteers from the Connaught Heights neighbourhood seeded a 0.25 hectare BC Hydro right-of-way with native grasses and pollinator-friendly wildflowers. This initiative supports biodiversity in underused greenspaces and is a great example of how a utility corridor can contribute to the greater pollinator habitat. Learn more on our website.

This project is in support of Bold Step 6: Robust Urban Forest as part of the Seven Bold Steps endorsed by City Council in response to the climate emergency with the goal of moving New Westminster towards a zero carbon future by 2050.
